POS Product BOM(Ingredients) module is used to configure Ingredients for POS Restaurant Foods and manage inventory for such Foods(Products) in Backend in odoo.
Key Features
Create BoM like structure for your restaurant products.
Maintain the inventory of the ingredients or raw material.
Structure is created based on the respective Unit of Measure of the ingredients.
Can define structure composition for a single quantity and inventory will be automatically handled for the quantities ordered.
Easy to maintain structure with restricted access to the managers.
User can see the number of total available qty. in stock and maximum qty. to sell in bom product structure.
If the BOM for the product is out of stock, User will not be allowed to add the product in POS.
We can only add that number of quantities which can be created with the available BOM stock for the Product.
- Enable Is POS BoM Product? and set unit of measure.
- Open POS Product BoM from products menu and create.
- Select bom product, set quantity and unit of measure will be automatically selected.
- Now, create product structure to select component product.
- Set component qty., unit of measure will be automatically selected.
- Qty. available in stock and maximum qty. to sell are automatically added.
- Then confirm created pos product bom.
- Open pos and add bom product in cart.
- Then do a normal checkout process.
- Here, we can see updated available qty. in stock and maximum qty. to sell.
- Now, again open pos session and add maximum number of bom product.
- For example, if the BOM stock allows only 7 quantity of the product to be created, we cannot add 8 quantity to the POS. It'll show a warning mentioning the quantites that can be added.
- Open point of sale config settings and enable Restrict Negative Stock Products.
- After enable this checkbox, If the BOM for the product is out of stock(negative), User will not be allowed to add the product in POS.
- Here, we can see negative product qty. are available in stock.
