How to Use Quality Control Point with Odoo MRP
Quality Control Point
Quality Control Point defines the stages in which the product needs to be checked.
In this blog, we will discuss how to use Quality Points with Odoo MRP for manufacturing.

Product
Create Product and Raw materials.

Quality ➤ Quality Control ➤ Control Points
And then, Create new quality control points.
Title: Add Title is the name for the quality control point.
Product: Select the product from the drop-down menu on which the quality points must be applied.
Product Category: added to all the products which fall under the selected product category.
Operations: Select the stage from the drop-down menu at which the quality should be checked.
Control Frequency: You can select and add product categories.
Type: Add the type of quality control point in this field.
Team: Select the team which will be in charge of the quality control.
Responsible: The employee responsible for the quality control can be selected from the drop-down menu.
Instructions: Any additional instructions that must be looked at during the quality control can be mentioned in the text box.
Message if Failure: Any messages to be provided at the time of failure can be added in this provided field.
Notes: In the Notes field describe why you need to perform the quality check.
Quality Control Point
→ Types
There are many different types of ‘Types’
1] Take a Picture
2] Instruction
3] Pass-Fail
4] Measure.
1] Take a Picture
‘Take a Picture’ means users have to upload a picture of product quality while quality check.
In Manufacturing order, when you click on the Quality check button. Open the wizard and upload a photo.
2] Instruction
Type of ‘Instruction’ is to add instructions of the product applied in a transfer or when manufacturing it.
In Manufacturing order when you click on the Quality check button. open wizard and display instructions.
3] Pass-Fail
In Manufacturing order when you click on the Quality check button. Open the wizard and display the pass and fail button on it.
When you click on the pass button product quality will be checked.
When you click on the Fail button, a product quality failure message will appear.
When you click on the ok button. Highlights Quality Alert button. And when you check on the Quality Alert button create a quality alert. In a quality alert set title, description, and corrective actions also you can set priority for this quality alert.
Also when you save this quality alert and see Manufacture order display one state button of quality alerts.
4] Measure
Type of Measure is to add Measure of the product applied in a transfer or when manufacturing it.
In Manufacturing order when you click on the Quality check button. Open wizard and display measure fields on it.
When you add a wrong measure and click on the validate button then appear please enter the right measurement.
When you click on the correct measure then appear in the Quality Check wizard and write the right value of the measure. And validate the quality check the product measure will be validated.
When you click on confirm measurement with the wrong measurement. it will be validated with the wrong measurement.
Note: Similarly, we can enable/perform quality check operations while purchasing.
