E-Learning Module In Odoo17

Nowadays most learning platforms are diversified; they provide training, assignments and certification online. In Odoo17 with the e-learning module, one can manage courses, assessments and certifications.

Let’s see how it can be performed using “e-learning” module in odoo:

Navigate to apps > install the module “e-learning”:

To manage the certification, make sure to enable the feature of certification in e-learning > configuration > settings > certifications.

By enabling this feature of “certification”, we will have a menu of certifications in e-learning > courses > certification.

By clicking on new certification, we can create a new certification program in that we can define the certification program name and a responsible person for certification. We have 4 main menus: Questions, Options, Description and End Message.

Questions: In this section, we can define the questions for the certification by clicking on add a question and question type and constraint such as mandatory to answer and question time limit for live sessions.

Options: In the options menu, we can define pagination, display progress, question selection, access mode, required login or not, number of attempts, survey time limit, scoring, required score, certification option and style of certification.

Description: A description of the certification can be mentioned here.

End message: The end message for the certification can be mentioned here.

We can share the certification link and send it by e-mail as well, see the results, test, print the certification, and close the certification.

Now, let’s see how we can create the e-learning courses and integrate certification with it: 

Navigate to e-learning module > courses > courses menu.

By clicking on the “new” button, we can create new courses. In the content menu, we can add a section, and add content by defining content type, responsible person, duration, description, additional resources, and quiz - questions and answers can be defined. To add a certification we can click on the "add certification option” in that we can select the certification that we have created.

We can publish this course by clicking on the go-to website button

How to do Certification and Download a Certificate in Odoo17:

Navigate to the website application > courses:

Users can select a course > start a course section by section

To download a certification > start a certification > fill out the question’s answers.

Once a user completes the course, from there he can share the certification and download the certification.

Conclusion

Odoo allows to maintain and publish the e-learning courses and through the courses, a user can also generate the certification. The community can get a great benefit from the certification and ideally, it will lead to visiting the website often by the customer and to improve a user experience.
