How To Manage Different Prices For Multiple Floors In Odoov17 POS
Businesses, more specifically in restaurants, have some segments such as a common floor, premium floors or AC floors, non-AC floors and food & beverage supplies and prices based on the floors they are having. When they have multiple floors they also have different pricing strategies for each floor.
In odoo17 we can manage these pricing strategies using a flexible price list feature in POS.
Let’s have a look at how we can differentiate the pricing based on floors:
To do so, first navigate to POS >restaurant/shop > edit > settings > enable the feature “Flexible price list”.
There are two types of price lists:
- Multiple Prices Per Product: In the pricelist, we can manage multiple prices per product
- Advanced Price Rules: It includes more complex pricing rules, advanced discounts and margins.
Pricelist:
To manage pricing for multiple floors first we need to create a price list for it.
To create it, navigate to POS > products > price list.
Here, a user can create new prices by defining pricing rules, discounts and margins. Pricing rules can be managed through conditions such as on specific products, and variants, with minimum quantity and price, also the start date and end date for the applicability would be also managed.
Then we have a configuration menu, where we can define the availability of the price list in specific country groups, and discount policy can be managed.

Assign Price lists into POS settings:
Navigate to POS > restaurant/shop > edit > settings > add the price lists that you have for each floor and shop.
Now, when we open POS restaurant/shop > select your floor > when you make an order in that session select the pricelist by clicking on “pricelist” for that floor and this is how you can manage the pricing per floor using “flexible price lists”.
Use-case of Manage Floor based different Pricing in Odoo POS
Let’s suppose “A company” uses Odoo POS restaurants to manage their daily dine, they manage two types of floors in their restaurant one is “Basic”, second one is “premium” or “AC floors” and “Non-AC floors”. They manage different pricing for both. Let’s see in Odoo how we can do that using a flexible price list.
- First, we need to define a floor in POS restaurant > settings > floors & table map:
- Then we can create a price list for each floor from POS > products > price lists:
- We can define these price lists into POS restaurant/shop > settings:
- Now, when we open a POS restaurant > and choose floor > table > at that time of order there is an option for price lists from where we can manually select the related price list of that floor.
Conclusion:
To conclude by using Odoo’s default feature “flexible pricelist” a user can manage the different pricing strategies for a POS restaurant/bar. It helps to maintain prices floor-wise by selecting a pricelist per floor and for user purposes as well it will be easy to keep a pricelist per floor.
